Built to convey
national scale.A specification tool, not a brochure.
Roundel Civil website design, national civil products manufacturer
Four factories. One site that shows it.
Family owned since 1998, Roundel Civil designs, manufactures and supplies engineered structures for the nation's largest road, rail, resource and construction projects. More than 50,000 tonnes manufactured, over 25 years in the industry, and a website that no longer reflected any of it.

The briefin one line.
The client
Australia's leading supplier of corrugated metal pipe and bolted corrugated plate structures, ISO certified, operating four factories nationally with on-site manufacturing capability.
The problem
A technical, specification-driven product range and an audience of engineers, contractors and project teams who need precise information fast. The old site under-represented the breadth of capability and made it hard to move between product types, applications, sectors and case studies.
The job
Understand the business, the customers and the technical nature of the products first, then restructure the site around how the audience actually searches: by product, by application and by market sector.
Organised the wayengineers search.
Products, applications and market sectors each get their own path through the site, with technical detail where specifiers need it and photography of real installs everywhere else.

Scale you can seeat a glance.
Photography of real projects, national factory locations and tonnage delivered do the persuading, so the copy can stay technical and short.

From brochure siteto specification tool.
A sitemap organised by product, application and sector guides project teams straight to what they need, and every page ends with a way to talk to an engineer.

From brochure site to sales and specification tool.
